The Eager Weaver

My initial passion of fibers was discovered in knitting, a technique in which fabric design is integral in process and completion.  Because of my love of fabric design, as soon as I learned how to weave, I automatically was drawn to the technique.  Weaving quickly became my main focus, serving as an aid to my journey; as a coping strategy for processing the difficulties experienced in this reality.

Primordium

Primordium is a biological term referring to the beginning stage of an organism's life cycle.  The weavings displayed on the page linked below are some of my first developed projects as a weaver; the discovery of my true love and desire that is to honor the culture of my ancestors: Cherokee.
